Failure is never an end: Bill Gates’ Success12th June 2017
After Trump spends the first 10 minutes of his cabinet meeting having his ego stroked by poor leaders, it reminded of an article I posted on Linkedin at the start of the year....
The real, underlining and intrinsic problem with Donald Trump is that he is a 'B' class leader.
'A' class leaders know they do not know everything and surround themselves with other 'A' class leaders, people that are better than them. People that know more about their subject matter than the leader.
'B' class leaders are insecure and have to be the smartest person in the room to stroke their egos. Therefore, they surround themselves with 'C' and 'D' class leaders people that make the leader look good. People that won't question and challenge the leader.
With an 'A' president, you end up with an 'A+' presidency. Greater than the sum of its parts.
With a 'B' president, you end up with a 'C/D' presidency.
The real problem with Donald Trump is that he has surrounded himself with people to stroke his ego; make himself feel good; agree with his 'brilliant' ideas.
He has been allowed to think poor leadership and poor decision making is 'tremendous' leadership and 'tremendous' decision making because no one is allowed to be present to say otherwise!
“Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another.”
What experience have you had with poor leadership leading to poor team and poor results?
